As we enter the month of November we enter a month that reminds us to be thankful for everything we have in our lives. My social media feeds have all been full of friends and family sharing everything that they are thankful for. The simple notes of why our friends are thankful are reminders to all of us as to why we should also be so very thankful.
With my appreciation for everything I have been given tonight my prayers are for those who have not been as fortunate as I have been. My prayers are for the families on the east coast who do not lay their head down tonight on a familiar bed, who can’t count on their house being heated, those whom have lost their personal sense of normalcy. They have lost all of the simplest of comforts I take for granted.
May God bless and provide for his children who seek his comfort in their time of need. For those of us on the west coast; see this as not only an opportunity to give financially to a charity such as the Red Cross as they support those in need after Hurricane Sandy, but also a time to give back and support those less fortunate in communities in which you live.
If you would like to donate to the Red Cross please either text 90999 to donate $10 or go call 1-800-HELP-NOW.
The American National Red Cross is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and contributions to the American National Red Cross are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. The Red Cross’ tax identification number is 53-0196605.
May God bless everyone who is able to give not only financially, but of their time, their thoughts and prayers.
